The langhe soil has sedimentary and marine origin, typical of the Barbaresco area. The area also tends to consist of more limestone, producing a softer expression of Nebbiolo.
Aging takes place for at least 2 years of which at least 9 months are spent in wood, giving great character and aromatic complexity.
Deep garnet red color with matching highlights. The nose is rich with red fruit, licorice, spices, and vanilla. The mouth fullbodied, robust, with structured tannins.
