Situated in the picturesque hills of Tuscany is the medieval town of Radda where an 11th century castle still stands today. Just beneath the tower is a quaint square called Piazza del Castello. The grapes for this SUPER TUSCAN grow in the sun-drenched hillside vineyards near this alluring place. A rich Italian wine, Piazza del Castello is meant to be shared with family and friends, and created to complement an Italian-style meal.
VINIFICATION
The must is left on the skins for 6-8 days, in order to extract color. It is then placed in special tanks where fermentation is completed in 8-10 days at 18°-20° C. The wine is then aged for 11 months in a combination of large oak casks and smaller barriques (2/3 French & 1/3 American).

TASTING NOTES
An intense red color with a fragrant bouquet of floral and violet notes. The beautiful aromas convey sensations of fullness and CELLARING: 3-4 years complexity with a note of ripe berries that gives way to chocolate and nuances of dark earthy tones. It is harmoniously rich in structure but bold in the finish.
