Kin & Cascadia Pinot Noir

Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley runs approximately from Portland in the north to Eugene in the South and produces some of the world’s finest Pinot Noirs. The grapes for our wine are sourced in different locations along the valley which has rich alluvial soils on the valley floor as well as a selection of volcanic sedimentary soils on the hillsides.

VINIFICATION

Fermentation begins with natural yeast, and the grapes are pumped over twice a day and then pressed off. Cool fermentation temperatures (with manual punch-downs) help build structure, color and texture. The grapes stay on their skins for ten days and are then run off into barrels to go through malolactic fermentation. Only 30% of the blend spent time in neutral oak, which enhances the profile without compromising varietal purity.

VARIETAL: 100% Pinot Noir
