Serie A Bonarda  2011 Mendoza - ARGENTINA

UPC/EIN Code : 0 89832 84954 4

This vineyard is located at the east end of Mendoza, 620 meters (2034 feet) above the sea level. The area is characterized by an even and wide extended plain with a regional slope from west to east and a warm climate perfect for Bonarda. With a deep and intense red color and violet hues the aroma is intense with attractive aromas of plum and blackberries. On the palate, it is full-bodied with notes of ripe fruits and a soft, yet persistent, finish.

(Check to print this review) 89 Points  Wine Enthusiast, August 2013 This is very nice varietal Bonarda. The nose is generic but floral, ripe and full of lifted blackberry and cassis aromas. A rubbery, agile palate carries dark, toasty flavors of blackberry, cassis and chocolate, then a peppery-tasting, toasty finish that manages to not be hot or fierce, which is a plus for this grape.

It has a crisp nose of blackberry, blueberry and a touch cassis and dried violet. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry. It is quite tannic towards the finish, with juicy black cherries laced with balsamic, though it could benefit from a little more finesse. Drink now-2016." Wine Advocate #203
