Dark ruby in color, it sports a nose of cedar, tobacco, cassis, and black currant. Ripe and easy-going in the glass, this tasty effort is a very good value meant for drinking over the next 3-4 years.

Araucano Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was hand harvested from Colguagua Valley vineyards early in the morning to retain the variety's pure fruit flavors. Half the wine was aged in oak barrels to add complexity to the red berry and subtle herbal aromas and flavors.

Araucano Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep intense ruby color. Concentrations of intense aromas of black fruits, particularly black currant with a touch of vanilla emanate. This wine is full and well-rounded on the palate with an attractive minty freshness and a long structured finish. This wine pairs well with many meats including pork filet and lamb, and also goes well with many cheeses.
