CHICAGO, IL – February 29, 2016 – Winesellers, Ltd., a national importer and marketer of fine wines, is pleased to announce its new partnership with Bodega Carlos Serres – Rioja Alta, to its growing portfolio of Spanish Wine Estates and Brands. Carlos Serres joins the Spanish portfolio alongside Mas Fi Cava (Penedès), Resso (D.O. Catalunya), Pazo Torrado (Rias Baixas), Navardia (Rioja), Dominios de Castilla (D.O. Rueda, D.O. Toro & D.O. “Bodega Carlos Serres is an extraordinary winery, and one of only a few remaining centenarian producers in Rioja.” says Adam Sager, Vice President of Winesellers, Ltd. “We have been searching for a premium producer from Rioja and we feel very lucky to now represent a brand not only rich with history but one with superior quality and value for the category.” The Carlos Serres launch will be closely managed by Juan Carlos (JC) Marin, who is based in Orlando, Florida, and manages the Winesellers, Ltd. portfolio across the State of Florida. Carlos Serres was a pioneer in Rioja. In 1896 he established one of the first wineries in Haro, the heart of Rioja. He was an instrumental figure in promoting the early exports of Rioja wines. Today, the Bodega remains family-owned and operated and is one of only a few centenarian producers in Rioja D.O.Ca. The estate is south-east of Haro, just 800 yards from the winery, and spreads out over nearly 150 acres of premium Rioja Alta vineyards with vines averaging 20+ years old. Bodega Carlos Serres is committed to being one of the most internationally-renowned and influential wineries in Spain.

The Carlos Serres offering will include: 2015 Rioja Blanco (SRP: $10), 2014 Rioja Tempranillo Old Vine (SRP: $10), 2012 Rioja Crianza (SRP: $12), 2010 Rioja
Reserva (SRP: $15), and 2008 Rioja Gran Reserva (SRP: $25). These food-friendly, handcrafted Spanish wines highlight the unique Rioja region with very attractive price points.
