Chilled Red is the New Rosé

This summer, slow down and enjoy a glass of Tintillo…chilled! Argentine producer Bodega Santa Julia debuts the new red blend—developed to be served chilled—for the warm summer months. Imported to the U.S. by Winesellers, Ltd., the Santa Julia brand is produced by Familia Zuccardi in the Mendoza region.
“Today’s wine consumer is adventurous - always in search of the next unique find and trend,” said Winesellers, Ltd. Vice President Adam Sager. “Chillable reds offer the perfect accompaniment to summertime activities from grilling, to boating to picnicking. Chillable reds are a great gateway to move white wine drinkers to the red category, so we are excited to launch Tintillo for the 2017 season.”’
The new Tintillo is a low tannin red wine blend with fresh acidity, a mix of 50% Malbec and 50% Bonarda, recommended to be served chilled between 46 – 56 degrees. It has fresh and fruity aromas reminiscent of strawberries, raspberries and cherries combined with soft hints of floral and herbaceous notes. The finish is fruity and Tintillo pairs perfectly with barbecue, grilled fish, mild cheeses and a sunny day.
Created for third-generation winemaker Julia Zuccardi by her father José, Santa Julia represents the Zuccardi family’s commitment to achieving the highest quality wines through sustainable practices, working to protect the environment and develop the community. The family opened Zuccardi Valle de Uco Winery last year, where winemakers place focus on research and development, studying the variables that influence wines throughout the Uco Valley.

Santa Julia Tintillo has an SRP of $12.99. Starting in July, the wine will be available at every Whole Foods Market location nationwide. For more information, please visit www.winesellersltd.com
